Easing Stimulus Process for Seniors
I fought to make sure that seniors receiving Social Security would not have to file a tax return to receive their stimulus check. This was an important win to ensure that our seniors received the support they needed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Healthy Meals for Students
COVID-19 brought to light a clear need to provide better access to meals for students in rural areas, including throughout summer break and school vacations, which is why I worked with my colleagues in the House to create a 3-year pilot program that will deliver healthy meals to kids during summer and school breaks.
